Joanna Strybosch

Graduating from RMIT in Melbourne, Joanna has been practicing as an osteopath since 1996. She went on to complete her post graduate study in the field of pediatrics and received her graduate diploma (pediatrics) in 2001.  For over 10 years she ran her own thriving practice in Central Victoria, where she enjoyed an unrivaled reputation as an integral part of the health care system in that community, developing strong professional relationships with other health providers in that region. During this time Joanna completed courses in cranial osteopathy, further enhancing her repertoire. In 2008, she sold her practice and relocated back to Melbourne with her husband and three young children. She was delighted to join the team at MTC in 2012.

Joanna is experienced in working with each of the following:

    •                 adults (including pregnant women),
    •                 children
    •                 babies (including newborns)

Joanna has a particular interest in working with babies with settling and feeding difficulties, including colic and reflux and plagiocephaly. She finds working with new mums very rewarding and she can offer home visits for new born babies if required.

Continuing her professional development, Joanna has completed a number of Phase courses in Biodynamic Osteopathy in recent years years. She has also become a registered provider of Rhythmic Movement Training (RMTi®) which is a movement based program used for children with retained primitive reflexes, and looks at how these can affect a child’s ability to focus and learn in the school environment. By integrating these reflexes Joanna has seen very exciting results in children with learning difficulties and children on the autism spectrum.

In 2015 Joanna piloted a program in a local private school, where she worked intensively with a group of Prep children using Rhythmic Movement Training.

In her spare time, Joanna loves to spend time with her family, running, working in her vegetable garden, cooking and and illustrating for children’s books.
