Lucy Hodgson

Before coming to work as an osteopath at the Melbourne therapy centre, Lucy gained valuable clinical experience working at four different practises around Melbourne, treating a wide range of musculoskeletal complaints. It was in these years that she became highly skilled in structural manipulative osteopathy and developed a strong interest in postural strain, injury management and rehabilitation. To compliment these interests, Lucy went on to complete numerous post-graduate courses focusing on Osteopathy in the cranial field.

Lucy has gained extensive experience in treating babies and children through clinical practise and has always had a special interest in this field. She has done many courses on this subject, including the treatment of children with learning difficulties. Lucy has been mentored by Dr. Dion Kulak and Dr Maxwell Fraval, highly respected cranial paediatric Osteopaths in Australia.

Lucy has completed other qualifications to compliment her practice. She is a certified iLs (integrated listening systems) professional, qualified to assess listening tests and deliver their sound therapy program, designed to help with auditory processing disorders. Lucy has also completed a postural control course, which uses small inserts in the shoe to help improve foot function and global posture.

For the past three years Lucy has enjoyed giving back to the profession through tutoring the Osteopathic students at RMIT University. She would one day like to participate in clinical research of Osteopathy.

Lucy loves keeping fit playing water polo, basketball, swimming and has just completed her first half marathon.
