Advanced Paediatric Osteopath, Lactation Consultant
Joanna graduated as an Osteopath in 1996 with a double degree & then went on to complete her Post Graduate Diploma in Osteopathic Paediatrics in 2001. In 2021, Jo was awarded the title of Advanced Paediatric Osteopath by Osteopathy Australia, in recognition of her education, skills & contribution in the field of paediatric care. Joanna is also an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) & a registered Consultant in Rhythmic Movement Training, for the integration of retained primitive reflexes. Jo works with breastfeeding mums and babies, with a focus on supporting early breastfeeding skills & unsettled babies. She has a focus on mechanical breastfeeding difficulties, issues with latching & sucking (incl. tongue tie) & irritability at the breast. She is experienced in working with babies with tongue ties, plagiocephaly (misshapen head), torticollis (wry neck) & hip dysplasia. Jo is as a board member of LCANZ (Lactation Consultants of Australia & New Zealand).
