Paediatric Occupational Therapy

What is it?

Paediatric and Youth Occupational Therapists work with children, adolescents and young adults to gain confidence and independence through supporting their development including:

  • fine motor and visual motor coordination skills

  • sensory and emotional regulation skills

  • independent living skills such as sleeping, toileting, dressing and eating

Who can it help?

Some of the reasons our patients visit include:

  • developmental delay and social difficulties

  • a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder, attention difficulties, intellectual delay

  • emotional regulation and anxiety

  • dyspraxia, dysgraphia and other fine motor and visual motor coordination disorders

  • handwriting difficulties

  • struggling with planning and independent living skills
